Hello everyone and welcome to another post!

Weather it’s going home to visit family for the holidays or going to Hawaii for a summer vacation, chances are if you’re flying to your destination you’ll be packing a carry on bag.

Here is some inspiration if you are wondering what to pack.

Jacket

If you are on a winter vacation, this is an obvious must have. Airports are usually cold, so if you are traveling in summer I would still recommend bringing one. Plus, you never know when it’s going to rain so it’s always better to be safe rather than sorry.

A complete change of clothes

I learned the hard way that sometimes luggage can get lost or sometimes you accidentally spill clam chowder on your shirt, so for me an extra change of clothes is absolutely essential. The last thing you want to do is buy an expensive airport T-shirt or try to find a Target when you land so you don’t have to wear the same thing for two days straight.

Toiletrees

A lot of people think that you can’t travel with any liquids, lotions or gels and that is true to a certain extent. Always check with your airline before you pack, however you should be able to take travel sizes of your favorite toiletrees. That way if your flight is delayed or you have an overnight layover you can brush your teeth, take off your make up and wear some deoderant.

Empty water bottle

For me this is another must have. I don’t know about you, but when I travel I get super thirsty and having my own water has saved me from needing to buy expensive airport water so many times. Most airports have a water bottle filling station or a drinking fountain, but remember to empty your water bottle before you go through the TSA checkpoint so you don’t have to throw away your favorite Nalgene or Yeti.

Airplane activities

Last but not least, you’ll want to bring something to help pass the time. If you’re taking your phone or tablet, make sure your apps don’t need wifi to run. Not all airplanes or airports will have a free wifi option and when you’re in the air, your phone will have to be in airplane mode. If you do bring electronics don’t forget your chargers and headphones. I like to take a non-electronic option like a book or coloring book to save my batteries and give me a break from too much screentime.

That’s it and thanks for joining me today!
