Hello everyone and welcome to another post!

For some reason whenever I’ve made resolutions in the past, I have forgotten about them by the end of February and returned to my old ways by the end of March.

Last year I gave up the idea of resolution making and decided to welcome the new year with a goal oriented mindset and I was so much more successful at completing my “resolutions”. This year I am going to approach the new year in a similar way.  So today I would like to talk about my goals for 2020.

Self Improvement and Personal Goals

Keep a cleaner house. I want to keep the house cleaner by putting my kitchen to bed every night and by tidying each room every day. That way I don’t have to hurricane clean anytime we have company. This is something I have already started to implement, but I would really like to keep it up in the new year especially after our baby is born.

Get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. This is something I plan on working on for the whole year. I believe in healthy weight loss and healthy eating habits so I don’t plan on losing all my baby weight 6 weeks after I give birth. I also really would like to run the 5K I had planned for last year which hopefully will also help me get back in shape after baby is born.

Blog Goals

Explore the idea of affiliate links. Since I will be having a brand new tiny human who’s wellbeing is completely dependent of myself and my husband, I would really like to turn my blog into a part time income source.

I have had ads since I started my blog because I wanted to own my domain and when I signed up for WordPress, the only way to own your domain was to buy the premium plan which includes ads. I literally make like 3 cents a month with my ads which really isn’t an income at all. LOL. But I have been researching the ways to turn your blog into a money making source and it seems like the most popular ways to do that are with ads, affiliate marketing, and sponsored posts.

I personally don’t really like the idea of sponsored posts because I feel like you have to say good things about a product even it isn’t great for the sponsorship to last which doesn’t seem very genuine to me, so I’m not sure if I will ever be comfortable writing sponsored content.

Financial Goals

Open a savings account for our daughter. This is super important for me because I truely believe that education equals freedom. I know that in 18 years we probably won’t have $50,000 to spend on our daughter’s education if we don’t start saving now.

Home Improvement Goals

Redo our roof. That darn thing just started leaking on us which is a huge bummer and will probably be an expensive fix, but it has to be done and I would rather sooner than later so we don’t have any water damage or some other huge catastrophe.

Anyway, those are my goals for the new year. If you set goals for yourself or make resolutions, comment below what they are.

Thanks for joining me again today!
