My 2nd Blogiversary!

Hello everyone and welcome to my little blog!

Today is my 2nd Blogiversary and I’m shocked at how fast the time has flown by and how much I have grown as a person and a writer over the last two years.

Before I begin I would like to thank everyone who follows me and likes or comments on my posts. I know I don’t have a huge following, but I’m so thankful for you all and it’s like getting 100 compliments when I get a single like, comment or new follower. So thank you!

This year, I thought I would share some of the things I have learned since I started my little blog.

Define the Term “Success”

If you have an idea of what it means to be a successful blogger, it will carry you through the times you feel uninspired or discouraged with your blog.

Comparisons Will Kill Your Blog

If you want to get discouraged and quite writing, compare your numbers and content to other bloggers.

I’m pretty sure everyone has heard the quote “don’t compare your chapter 1 to someone else’s chapter 20”. Well I’m here today to tell you not to compare your chapter 1 to someone else’s chapter 1.

Remember your definition of success and compare your blog to that. It truely is the only way to measure your personal growth and progress.

Have a Goal Oriented Mindset

It doesn’t matter if you have daily, weekly, monthly or yearly goals for your blog, it just matters that you have goals. Goals will push you forward if you are ever in a creative slump and they will push you forward on days when you feel like you’re killing it. Plus goals are a way to measure your successfulness and keep you accountable.

Write

The only way to become a better blogger is to write. If you have always wanted to start your blog but you’re too nervous to because you think people will judge you, do it anyway. We all start at the bottom and work our way up.

If you already started your blog and gave up on it, start again.

No matter what blogging is supposed to be a creative outlet and a way to share your experiences and knowledge with others.
