Hello everyone and welcome to my little blog where I share my experiences as a modern homemaker. If you are new here and you enjoy lifestyle content, tips and tricks, or blogs where I share my journey through new motherhood, I would appreciate it if you subscribed because I would love to have you as a part of this little community!

Okay, let’s get started! Today I am going to share with you some tips to help you clean your house quickly.

Sometimes it can feel like you’re choosing between a clean house or your life. Keeping a tidy home takes time and effort, and if you want to reap the rewards of a relaxing space, you have to make the sacrifice. Actually, that’s not always necessary. While, of course, deep cleaning requires more dedication, there are ways to keep your home sparkling without giving up on the rest of your life to do it! Check out these ideas for a tidy home in less time:

Make a List (and Use It!)

It’s been proven time and again that planning helps with pretty much anything, and the same goes for your cleaning routine. Create a list of all the areas that need the most attention, and check them off one by one when you have the time.

This way, you won’t be letting the chores get backed up or spending your whole life making sure the house is tidy. When you have more time, do more; when you don’t, just do what you can! Not only does this serve to keep the chores under control, but you’ll get the satisfaction of checking an item off your to-do list as well.

A Load a Day

Letting laundry pile up is an easy thing to do, and something that we’ve all been guilty of at one time or another. It might seem like leaving it all for one day a week is the smartest way to go, but the opposite can be true.

Doing a single load every day will not only cut down on the total amount of laundry that needs doing, but it’ll also lighten your load by saving you time. Folding five loads of laundry can feel like it takes forever, but one can be done in a snap — and there will always be clean clothes to wear, too!

Keep Cobwebs in Check

Aah, the dreaded cobwebs. We all know how those can get: One minute, your home is beautifully clean and dust-free and the next, it feels like a haunted house on Halloween! It’s easy to forget about these since we rarely look at the ceiling, but they can really leave you feeling irritated when you happen to glance up there once in a while.

Not to worry, there’s an easy fix here, too. By taking 10-15 minutes once a week or so to go around your home with a broom, cobweb duster, or the long hose on your vacuum, you can have the cobweb-free home you’ve always dreamed of!

Breathe New Life Into Older Furniture

Everyone loves the feeling of a cozy, comfortable couch or chair; they’re the center of your living space and the perfect way to relax after a long day. But what happens when your favorite recliner starts losing its appeal, or your couch starts to feel like more of a fixer-upper than it once did?

Not to worry, you don’t have to kick your faves to the curb! Visit Angi.com to find local upholstery services that have the expertise to make them look and feel new again, bringing that cozy vibe back to your space in a heartbeat. If pillows and throws just aren’t cutting it, consider sprucing up your older pieces and see what a difference it can make. It might cost as much as $3,500 to reupholster a couch, but this can be quite the investment, especially for heirloom and valuable pieces that you simply can’t part with.

Keeping a tidy home that you’re happy to come back to doesn’t have to be the hassle that we sometimes think it is. There are plenty of ways to have a relaxing, cozy, and clean home without spending your entire day keeping it that way. Our homes are for us to enjoy, and while that does sometimes mean a little elbow grease is required, you don’t have to spend every free minute cleaning, organizing, or decluttering to have the sanctuary you deserve!
