Hello everyone and welcome back to my little blog where I share lifestyle and motherhood content centered around my experiences as a stay at home wife/mom/homemaker. I would love it if you joined me, so if enjoy this post please consider following my little blog!
If you don’t know I have been using Grove products for about a year and some of them are true game changers.
If you want to know the ones I think are must haves for your household you can check out my post: Grove Household and Cleaning Must-haves
Today however, I will be sharing with you five products from Grove that really missed the mark for me.
Method Dryer Sheets
These were absolutely terrible. I know the designers meant well, but they honestly felt like a combination between parchment paper and card stock; and they did nothing to prevent static electricity from the dryer, which to me is the whole point of using dryer sheets.
Grove Duster
I loved the idea of this duster. It has an extendable handle, a swivel duster head so you can dust shelves and fans, and the duster head is removable and washable. It sounds like a dream come true, but for some reason anytime I use it pieces of the duster head come off. It also completely fell apart in the wash even though I followed the care instructions. Of course I may have just gotten a defective duster head, however my experience with this duster has been extremely disappointing. Of all the Grove products I’ve tried it is my least favorite besides the dryer sheets.
Seventh Generation Disinfecting Wipes: Lemongrass
I tried these because I wanted a disinfecting wipe that was more eco friendly than the Lysol and Clorox ones we all use. I actually preferred the Method multi-purpose wipes, but I found out they are not disinfecting. So I thought I would try these disinfecting wipes from Seventh Generation, but every time I got these from Grove or the grocery store they were dry. Again it could have just been fluke like the duster but to me dry wipes are just not worth the money.
Seventh Generation Laundry Stain Remover
This is another product that seemes like such a great idea and I love that it’s a natural product. The reason it made this list is because it doesn’t actually remove stains. I’m not sure if I just totally used it wrong or what but even when I would spray a stain and let it sit for 15 minutes before washing it, nothing would happen. As a mom of a toddler who tried this product on several different types of stains ranging from bloody noses to spaghetti night to potty training accidents, this stain remover just totally missed the mark because what is the purpose of a stain remover that does nothing to remove stains?
Seventh Generation Glass Cleaner
At this point it seems like I totally hate Seventh Generation products, but normally I love them and the only reason their glass cleaner made it on to my list is because it evaporates really quickly. This isn’t a problem if you work fast, but if you’re like me and often get called away from housekeeping tasks half way through them to make a snack or wipe a butt, you might have streaky windows and mirrors.
And that’s all I have for you today, thank you so much for stoping by!
